The birth you located does not list a second name.......so is probably not the girl with the family in 1901. Do you specifically require her birth cert? Or will any of the children do? Is it the mother's maiden name you're after? The registration district for Rotherhithe is St Olave Southwark. Reg |

Is this the entry you already sent off for - Name: Mary Archer Year of Registration: 1900 Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun District: St Saviour Southwark County: London, Surrey Volume: 1d Page: 118 If so, this would explain why the father's name was left blank - her mother was not married at that time (see marriage entry above for Dec qtr of 1901). |

Does it give her age as 1 on the census John? Generally speaking, I deduct the age from 1900 not 1901 because the census was taken in the first half of the year. Not sure that helps you... Heather |

i have a mary archer born 1900 in rotherhithe in the census to parents mary archer and william archer i have sent of for the cert and it came back mary archer born workhouse and no name for the father just a line.i have looked for other mary archers born at this time and in rotherhithe but can not find any. can anyone help |
