Jill, Where is your previous thread about this lady? I have tried to dig it out but cannot see it. This is the same lady we have tried to find before with no luck isn't it? If you nudge the other thread up it will save everyone covering the same ground again. Liz |

Pm from Jill: Hi Liz - l may be causing probs. !! as Jenny from Hants has let me into whole new world out there & l'm trying to take info. on board - so mentioning 'threads' is ano something else - so be patient please !! Have had message from Reggie who states born in St Helier JERSEY not Guernsey (given on sequence of census as St Helens, or Helier Guernsey). From marriage cert. to Geo. STAY IOW feel her father states as John - mariner. Any other help would be gratefully rec'd - many thanx Jill Can anyone else find the original thread regarding Mary Mortimer? It was a couple of weeks ago, and there were several people working on it if I remember rightly (although I may be mistaken). I am not sure now if it was Jill or Jenny who may have initiated it, or even someone else entirely. Liz |

There is no Mary Mortimer of the correct age (or anywhere near it) on Channels Islands censuses for 1861 or 1871. Reg |
