1901 look up please.

I am looking for the whereabouts in 1901 of Thomas & Jane Diston, of Gateshead. Five of their children have no apparent marriages-would be interesting to see if any of these five are still living with their parents in 1901-this would narrow my search down considerable. There were seven children in all and I can only find two of them as married. Thanks Jennifer. |

Seem to have dissapeared off the face of the earth. Are their parents on the 1901 cencus please-Thomas and Jane Diston born about 1838-also Gateshead? Thanks Jennifer. |

From the BMD records Robert born Sept 1859 died Dec 1859 aged 0 Dinah died Dec 1871 aged 2 Mary born Dec 1866 married Jun 1884, husband John Hutchinson or Edward Kelly Jane born and died Mar 1876 On the 1871 Census, James Tindale (who appears on the 1901 census) born Dec 1860 and brother Thomas born Sept 1859 are living with George and Isabella Robers, stepsons. This points to Isabella being their mother. There is a marriage of Isabella Diston and George Roberts Dec 1869 which would confirm this. Their father was probably Watson Diston who died Sept 1864 |
