Look up for Hull, Yorkshire 1841 census please

Looking for Richard Cook (or Cooke) born c1822 in Hull. He would be about 22 on the 1841. I don't have any other details. He was a Draper on the 1851 census, living in Hulme, Manchester. Thanks, Val

FreeCen haven't transcribed any of the 1841 for Yorkshire and YorkshireBMD wouldn't help as registration didn't start until 1837. I think somebody had a name index for 1841 Hull on the Records board. I'll just go and see if I can see it.

Unfortunately it looks like the offer for the name index has been taken off Val. I do have the 1841 disc but it's such a big area I would need the reference from the name index :-( Your best bet is to hold out for someone with Ancestry.

Theres only 2 Richard Cooks listed born in Yorkshire around 1822. (both listed c1821) 1: father - John c1791, mother - Mary c1796 (2 sisters both Ann c1826 &c1829) . Registration district was Beverley (just north of hull) 2. married (?) to catherine c1811. registration district was Pocklington (outskirts of york?) Regards
