Hi Honey Rum YES Claro is a district in Harrogate, Yorkshire. I lived + was married there :) Hope you find what you are looking for Regards Ann x

Hi My great unlce's death was registered in Claro and his son told me that he died in Harrogate. If that is any help. Lynn : )

I think it was probably just north east of Knaresbrough. If you put Claro into a search on Memory-map, it comes up with Claro House, just near Knaresbrough. Kath. x

Hello Honey Rum - I added to the message on General but if you ring 01423 506949 which is the registry office in Harrogate they should be able to tell you which registers they still hold or where the one's you are after are now (Either Northallerton or WYAS at Leeds) Snowdrops

Yes it was. Found this on Genuki:- Location Claro Address Closed April 1998 and post July 1837 civil registers moved to North Yorkshire Kath. x
