Has anyone any ideas where is the best place to find streets and areas that are no longer there? Are the ordnance survey maps worth a look? Not looked for the streets before. Looking for the areas of Bedford, Pennington and Westleigh all amalgamated into the Leigh area now. That is Leigh Lancashire. Regards CAROLE

Some of the old maps for my village are at the local reference library, but some are at the record office - so we had to contact both to find out what was available.! There are companies which produce replicas of old maps - I'm sure someone will be able to give you the website. Good luck, Jay
