Hi Have finally found my family on the 1871 census - surname spelt completely wrong!! I have printed out the list of the family members - but it's completely different to what is on the actual scan of the page!! I'm having problems reading the writing and wondered if someone could check it for me and see what you come up with. If you do a search for John Kassey, born 1822 in Ireland, Head of household, living in Blackburn you should find my family. There are the following ppl in the house: John Mary Mary Wm (Presumably William) Cathrine (note spelling!) Next one I can't read name Eliza George John Ellen Margt (I think - possibly Margaret?) Thomas Elizth - (presumably Elizabeth) I need the following checking pls: 1. Name of the one I can't read. 2. Ellen's place of birth 3. Elizth's relationship - boarder?? 4. Cathrine's status - married or not? 5. List of names shows a David which I can't find - maybe that's the name I can't read, but it doesn't look like David to me!! 6. Also listed on list is a Mary Ellen Green. I can only find two Mary's. One is wife and the other is daughter. None of them Mary Ellen and both of them Kassey, not Green?? Am I being blind?? Sorry it's so long. Would appreciate any help. Thanks.
