Just received my Ancestry Daily News Email, which states: 'Coming Soon at Ancestry(.)com, 1841 England and Wales Census Coming in April'

Can't wait, I've got a few loose ends that I may be able to tidy up. I have been able to use the British Origins website (the 72 hour subscription is great value) to find a lot of my ancestors on the 1841 Census, but they are missing a few counties. As the emails arrive each morning I rarley read them in detail, and as usual just scan read the email, closed it and then thought - did that just say that they will have the 1841 census in April??? Opened it again ..... and yes that's what it said. Brilliant!!! Steven.

Could be END of April ..... I heard it was Easter .... but then the dates they gave for the '51 were wrong and we waited an extra week or so ....

Just had this included in email from Ancestry : Ancestry.com has nearly completed the 1841 England and Wales Census, which includes an every-name index and images, and is expected to be posted in mid to late April. This release will complete the England and Wales Census Collection, which already includes each census from 1851 through 1901, giving World Deluxe and UK Deluxe members access to seven decades of census information. No actual date, but it's definately coming!! Heather

Tom, The daily newsletters are sent from the American site, but hopefully it will go live on both sites. I can access UK records and images by logging in to either the American or UK site. I assume this will remain the same for 1841 records too. Steven.
