The refs kick in again around 1994 on Ancestry! Here's what you need Sharon: Volume No 33 Page No 691 Reg No 888 Merry

If you have looked on Ancestry you should have the GRO ref no. - It will look something like 'Salford 8d 444', or whatever district you are looking at. This is all you need to order the cert, together with the year and quarter it was registered. Dea

Ancestry used to have the GRO details on all those deaths, but when they ''improved'' the site one time, a whole lot of the deaths after 1984 had no page numbers!! You could beg me to look it up for you on 1837online!! Merry

I was helped enormously in my previous thread today, and was given details of a death that I would like to order a cert for. Have checked on Ancestry, as it was registered Aug 1988. However, as I do not have GRO ref numbers, or the exact date of death, how do I order the cert??? Sorry if I'm really dense - even I am getting fed up with me!
