If your great-grandparents actually got married, I would say you are best to get their marriage certificate to see what it says was the name and occupation of Elizabeth's father, so you can check against what you have found on the census. Kate. |

Got my grandads cert last week. Says his mothers name Elizabeth Jane Arnold (formely Hyde) She is on the 1891 and 1901 married to my g-grandad with a daughter called Agnes Hyde.Obviously had her out of wedlock, and the relationship to my g-grandad is stepdaughter. I have just looked at the 1881 census and think I have found elizabeth with her parents, should I take this as her. Everything seems to fit with the age and dates. |
