I have a reference for the marriage of my 3x great grandparents Charlotte Bagnall and Samuel Mason in Banbry, Oxon in 1839. My problem is that the images for both references are very clear, but they give conflicting information – one gives Vol 16 Page 8 and the other Vol 16 page 18. How do I go about ordering them without knowing which is correct? I have tried looking at others on the page on FreeBMD but that doesn’t help either – Charlotte is shown on her own and Samuel is shown with two ‘Thomas’s’ and no females. Anyone got any ideas please? You could order it from the local office instead! Or you could hang on a minute whilst I have a look at it and see if my crystal ball is working.......(won't be long....) Merry

Nope, sorry crystal ball is broken......sometimes you can tell if one has the wrong page by looking at the range of page mnumbers for the district in the particular Q, but 8 and 18 are too close to call! Merry

I would say its 8 as thas what they both show on Freebmd. ps /could have sworn it was 8 but relokng its 18!! Doh

On Ancestry Beta Charlotte is def down as18 And samuel as 8. its very clear in both cases. They are the copies of the regs. I'm going to frc on mon,can recheck for you if you would like

Mmmm. Think I may have to go to the local office and get it - wherever I check it's the same and looking at original images doesn't help at all. Looby
