Hello, my great great grandmother FLORENCE GEORGINA GORDON KERR was born in India in abt. 1879. I know from her marriage cert. that her Father was called Thomas Kerr and was a messenger, but i have no idea where to start looking. (She is a servant in York under name Florence Kerr in 1901) Any suggestions would be very much appreciated, Thank you

Just popped her name in....and asked for Births/baps two years either way of 1879. Didn't select a country. there was the one entry under Asia. There's these altogether with the same parents. The other three are all extracted records, so that's something! 1. You could try the overseas births on 1837online. There may be birth certs and therefore help with the mum's maiden name! Merry

Thanks Merry - that's def. them . I know she had a sister Alice Sophia, she's in hospital in 1901, but a witness at F GG Kerss marriage. Got the records from the hospital so i know she didn't die. Thank you
