BMD's for the 1870-1890's are housed at the Philadelphia Archives Office which is seperate from the Philadelphia Historical Society. The Archives do not have on-line searches available. I live in Philadelphia and plan to visit the Archives soon. PM me who you are looking for and I'll see if I can find any records. Rose

I am trying to obtain B M D records for Philadelphia around 1870 - 1890, and have come across the Philedelphia Historical Society website, has anybody used them? Was wondering what they are like to deal with, and if they were sucessful in finding the info you needed?
