Liz As your Grandfather started his service in 1918.... National Archives Documents Online... www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/ Have the medal cards for those who served in 1WW, downloadable for £3.50. I have my GGrandfathers. It only gives which Regiment he served in, medals awarded and the date he entered the theatre of war in France. Kew (National Archives) have individual records for those who 'served' in the 1WW but it is patchy, alot were burnt/destroyed in the 2WW bombings....My GGrandfather's records haven't survived. I'm trying to find where my Grandfather served c 1918 -1920. Can anyone suggest best places to search. I have some info i.e. regiment and service number. Any help gratefully received. Many thanks Liz
