At the time of the 1901 census Clifford Robinson is an 11 year old living in Thornaby, he was born in Stockton, Durham. That's Stockton on Tees, Co. Durham. I can't find his birth at all, has anyone any tips as to how I can find him?

Where have you looked so far that didnt have him listed? The ancestry bmd index beta?

I have looked on there but couldn't find him . . . . . when I finished I did wonder if I had missed it!!

If you have looked at FreeBMD, beware that births for Q4 1888 have not been transcribed yet!! Everyone I look up seems to come from that Q!! (I realise people born then should be 12 in 1901! Merry

Thanks everyone, it's really appreciated!! Merry - Thankyou very much for finding the birth with Clifford as his middle name, I will certainly check that out. Clifford and his brother Wilfred apparently went to either New Zealand or Australia . . . . . all I have to do now is find them there!!!
