Hi I'm sure loads of others will tell you this, but have you tried FreeBMD or the Familysearch sites (Google them!)? Allie

Any idea of county, vague year of birth--anything which could give us a clue. Gloria

Firstly what year were your parents born - and did they have any older bros and sisters? This would give you an idea of the marriage date for your grandparents.

This is the only Sugg in Freebmd with those forenames, but they are reversed: Sugg, Arthur Wilfred Record Type: Births Quarter: March Year: 1900 District: Wincanton County: Dorset Somerset Volume: 5c Page: 395 Could this be him, or is he too young?

Probably is the right age, as this looks like gran: Strickland, Katherine Winifred Record Type: Births Quarter: December Year: 1903 District: Southwark Volume: 1d Page: 3 Kate won't be on the 1901 census but if you get either her birth or marriage cert it will have father's name and occupation and we can find him on the census. nell

Wendy, Heather, above, is right, you really need to begin with whatever you have as fact, even if that's as recent as your own birth cert!! You parents marriage cert would be the next thing to look for. Not because you don't know the names, but because it would be very easy for us who don't know you to be completely wide of the mark for date. I'm 41 and my grandparents were born between 1880 and 1892. My best friend is 37 and her grandparents were born between 1922 and 1930!! Merry

i saw a thread earlier - Wendy had started a new one instead of adding to this one - saying she did have her grandparents wedding cert and was going off to get it.
