Also, if the bride had been previously married then her marriage to Mr Wheatley will be in her previous married name and not Blundell! Merry |

If you find such a marriage and you don't have the birth certificate to check against, you can't be sure it's the right couple. Okay, so they are both fairly unusual surnames, but it has been known for two brothers to marry two sisters! Kate. |

You need to order the birth certificate! |

Well presumably they married some time before 1916 and they would both need to have been aged at least 12 (bride) and 14 (groom) so it isn't a case of 'I have no idea'. BUT it is probably after 1910, so it won't be on Freebmd. You can a) order the birth cert to find out their names which would make it easier to ensure you find the right marriage b) go through the GRO birth indexes before 1916 to see if you can find other births to this couple, to narrow down the time they got married c) just wade through the marriage indexes anyway. nell |

I have no idea when they married, I only know they had a child in 1916, I looked up his birth and it had his mum's maiden name as Blundell so I'm trying to see if I can find who they were. |

Whenabouts did they get married? If its after 1910 it won't be on Freebmd. If its before 1901 which census do they first appear on as married? nell |

OK, I am trying to find a marriage of a Mr. Wheatley and a Miss Blundell, I do not know either of their first names or where they married (possibly London though.) Is there an easy free way to search 2 surnames to find a marriage? I've tried just putting both surnames on FreeBMD but it doesn't like to load the page for me. thanks, AL |
