Glad you've got it sorted Christine, I wish it was the other way round, it'd be far easier to find people! Poor Merry, would you like some of mine? I've no idea who half of them are but like the clutter that collects around my tree, I daren't get rid of them in case they come in handy at some point in the future. I may have to move soon just to fit all my 'maybes' in!

Well, that's not fair!!!! Mind don't come back! I only have three people in my contacts list, so it's not because they are hiding further down the list:o(( Merry (''no friends'')

Followed up Rachel's idea. I must have weeded out the 16/11/05 messages on the grounds that it wasn't my family and I'd just passed some info over - no need to hang on, then. But now, although the messages in the current list are all Feb 06, it's still headed 16/11/05 as contact date! Christine

It's a specific person. I probably deleted her from my Contacts list in a recent bit of housekeeping (assuming she was ever there!) but we've been in touch today, so she really should be in the list. I've had another look, and Rachel's right: the date is the date of first contact, so it could be anywhere in the list, though I think it's fairly recent. Can't even find the tread that triggered the whole thing - a week or more (? month or so) back. Christine

is it a specific person or people in general? maybe they have changed their name Jess

Does the date sort thing not apply to the date you first made contact? I'm not sure but I think I've had that problem too. I couldn't remember their surname and it took me ages finding them. I really should sort out my contacts but I hate deleting them, just in case....

I should have thought that deleting then from your contacts deleted only the history - not forever & ever amen! Christine

I have that happen a lot!! If I have deleted someone from my contacts list previously, they often don't reappear if they send me another message and I respond to that. I have not worked out if the same happens if I'm the one who resumes the contact??? Merry

How can I be having a corresponence with someone on GR and they DO NOT appear in my Contacts list? I know they don't because I can date-sort for the most recent activity and, although there have been messages in & out today, there's nothing for today's date! Christine
