Right Ive done it before - please tell me how to do a report with my sister as the start and just her ancestors going back.

find sister name go to family page report button next to it to get kinship report/ button next to that for tree Ancestor/ descendant dont think you can do a report for sister to ancestor going back. you many have to do report for kinship

Did that, only get my mum and dad has her ancestors - what do I have to do to get them all back to 1550. Please I need that aethenal thingy. I dont want a tree, or the genealogy report, just an outline ancestry report.

No, theres another way. We used to have an A on the right hand side to do it with FTM2005.

Heather, I might be totaly wrong here - I've only had my FTM a week! - but have you tried going into genealogy report, then clicking on the report format on the left. Not sure if thats what you meant, but does it help? Sue

This is ridiculous, I printed her one out 6 months ago, why cant I find how to do it now.

On what page Karen please? Alan, tried that, it just gives descendant again. There used to be a way to click to put a text list of ancestors - not a tree, but a report with just the ancestors. This is silly! Oh Im giving up, perhaps tomorrow I will suddenly remember again. Thanks for trying everyone.

Select the person you want the report for Click on Reports, then select Genealogy Reports. Then Click on Format and select Genealogy Report Format Select Ahnentafel [Ancestor Ordered]

Im so grateful for all your efforts, Im beginning to think I must have dreamt it - I just wanted a very easy to follow outline of the tree, not all the notes. . Sorry to have flogged you all to death over this. I dont like this getting old business one bit.

Oh thank gawd, Ive found what I meant. After getting the usual genealogy report with tons of notes, you can then refine the content down to just the bare minimum. Thank gawd, I was really beginning to worry about my mind then. Many thanks again for everyones efforts, I really do appreciate it. I think Ill go and lay down now.
