Don't speak Welsh either, but have a basic dictionary. It's likely some of the words would be months etc, so if you are stuck and put inscription on here I could have a go. Pob luc (good luck) nell

I found it – behind me in this room, having run downstairs a few times! Doh! Didn’t get very far as a) it’s a tourist book, so no call for “What to say in the Graveyard” lol b) Welsh nouns mutate, ie the first letter alters, so this dictionary is only English-Welsh and not t’otherway! This is also probably why you have been unable to translate it on the web BUT Jane Williams wife John Williams Pentref-llyn or Plwyfhwn [I think these are placenames] Yr honfu farw Tach dd 12 ed [Tachwedd is November, so perhaps Tach is Nov] 1862 73 oed [oed is age, I think] Hefyd William eurrahab Fu farw Tach 6 1830 [Tachwedd is November, so perhaps Tach is Nov] Yn 4 Blwyddoed Hefyd John Williams uchod Yr hwn a fu farw Mehefin 20ed 1881 Yn 84 ml oed [oed is age, I think] Thomas Williams Aberdauddwr (I know this is the house name) Plwyf Llandwyryfon Yr Hwn a fu farw January 29 1883[ Yn 68 mlwydd oed [oed is age, I think, and I am guessing this says “In the 68th year of his age” or something similar] Sussanah Williams Ei wraig yr hon a fur farw [possibly wraig is a mutation of gwraig, wife] Malyr 16eg Yn y flwyddyn 1887 Yn 67 mlwydd oed [oed is age, I think, so reads in 67th year of age] Hope this is a bit of help. I suggest you e-mail this to a Welsh library and ask if they can help. A Welsh speaker would be able to do it quickly. nell
