Hi Maureen You can't on here I'm afraid, the GR site can't cope with that. The only way round it is to use another family history program which allows it and then import your tree to GR. Sam x |

Hi, I have this in my tree as do many others& as far as I am aware it can't be done. You will have to show one set & put notes for them & cross ref them with the marriages. I have just seen a tree with 2 sets of everything & it makes it all really confusing. Iit looks as if the tree is double in size & as if there are a load of errors. Lorraine |

Maureen Do you not realise that as you only have your tree on this site you could lose it all if the site ever closed or had a virus or something. PLEASE put your tree on an external genealogy program on your computer AND THEN back it up on CD as well. I see you have over 260 people on your tree, you dont want to lose that lot do you? Having your tree on a genealogy program is much more important than having it on this site. Plus you will be able to do the things you cant on this site. Brothers marrying sisters, cousins marrying etc. The tree system on this site is so basic its unbelievable. Its also extremely difficult to navigate. Margaret |

Maureen. If you havn't got a family tree program I suggest you download the one I use, PAF, personal ancestry file, from the familysearch web. It is free and absolutly brilliant. You can print charts, trees and add photos. Have a look and see. Nicky |

Thank you for your advice, I will order a programme as soon as I can. Can I export from here to Family Tree Maker 2005 - Deluxe Edition? |

Thanks you so much, I hadnt thought about possibility of loosing it. without this site I wouldnt have even got started, I owe it to everyone to make sure I keep the information safe. |
