I have managed to find the death of all of my Great-Grandparents bar 1 who is being elusive. His name is Hamblen Dickens born c1845 in Buckinghamshire but living in Lutterworth in 1901 Census. My eyes are getting sore from trawling, have search 1903 - 1933 so far and have missed. Know he's alive in 1903 as I have a dated photograph of him. Can anyone out there help me find him? Joy

I'll look on Family Relatives

Not sure anyone else will want to trawl through the death indexes! But you could try asking if anyone has an NBI entry for him. nell

Could be that he died after 1933. After all, he would only be in his eighties then. You could also try looking through the National Probate Calendar (at some record offices) if you think he might have left a will. Kate.

Nothing coming up between 1901 - 1920 .... but I'm NOT convinced that the Deaths on FamilyRelatives are complete. Sorry. Don't assume that the date on the photo is correct ( if someone has written it on as an after thought). I have done that before now, and realised that I was years out !! Elaine ;-)

Elaine Have checked with Uncle and the photograph is definitely taken in 1903 as he was being given some sort of award (Uncle can't remember off hand what for). I've probably missed him on the later years, but he was definitely deceased before Uncle was born and that was in 1938. Looks like I'll have to trawl again. Humph. Joy

Oooooops forgot!!!! 1901 Census I think the enumerator mis-heard and put him down as Henry/Henery as the rest of the family are with Jane on the image, but Hamblen and Jane are separate on the transcription. Joy
