They're written inside the entrance to our house. I'd love to find out who lived (or perhaps worked) here. I can make out the forenames and 'Langford' - which is the village but I'm stumped by the surnames... http://www*pbase*com/smarjoram/image/30808063*jpg (replace * with . ) |

looks like it's writen on plaster and someones had a go at erasing it. Am just trying to alter the contrast on screen |

One looks like John Davi(e)s (just above the lowest one) above that, John .... ???Dagger and then above that, Jack ... perhaps! Christine |

It works fine if you replace all the * with dots I have saved the image and trying to blow it up in my image editor. Not made any sense of it yet though |

There's a name at the top which looks similar to the one I thought was Davi(e)s - only, at the top, it looks more like Canes. Christine |
