Does anyone have any information or have any clues about an Elizabeth Gould who married a John Irish in Oldbury in 1897, I need to find who her mother/father was. Also any information about the Irish or Gould name in Oldbury from 1897 back. Any help appreciated. James.

I don't know where Oldbury is, but if you get the marriage cert it will have John and Elizabeth's fathers and their occupations on it, which will hopefully enable you to trace them further back. nell

Westmidlandsbmd names bride and groom and gives the location of the event, church or register office. There is a printable order form too. Heather

Nell I've found a few of mine but most of the relatives who lived in the area went to Dudley to get married. Some births and death records from Dudley have been added to the site recently so perhaps they'll have the marriages soon. Heather

There is a large family named Gould with daughter Elizabeth age 24 living at Oldbury in 1881 on the familysearch site. Her parents were Samuel and Elizabeth. 1881, Ancestry has a John Irish aged 17 son of Susan Irish who was married but husband not present. Susan was born c1820 Bromsgrove. Heather
