Hi I am managing to access the site, but then again I have it on favourites so maybe that is why. I have the telephone no for the church in Chorley, Preston if that is any help. When I have rung there they have put me through to the research centre that is located there and they have helped with any problems I have had with the site. Tele No 01257 226100. Hope this helps. Good Luck Jayne

if you use Internet Explorer, try clearing your temporary internet files and see if that helps. Cheers, Horatia

Thanks, I've got Netscape and Internet Explorer and it doesn't work it either. Tried deleting temp files but no joy :-(

Now this may sound silly but have you got the correct address? Try this - remove brackets http://www(.)familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp Cheers, Horatia

I couldn't access it earlier this morning but it's OK now. Sunday night for them/our early Monday seems to be the time that they perform routine maintenance, as it has happened to me a number of times before

Thanks Horatia, but still no joy. I've also tried googling it and following the link there, and the links from that batch number site, no luck. I've been trying to get on for over a week now with no luck, so I don't think it can all be maintenance. I'll try phoning them later on today. Grant

I didn't bother phoning LDS, I went to the Library instead.... And their computers were down... So I went to the computer shop... And found the IP address of www.familysearch.org It's http://204.9.225.200 Hurrah, I managed to find the IGI entries for these new names that Carol found for me :-)
