A large leatherbound King James Authorised version colour illustrated antique Victorian family Bible measuring 33.5cm by 27cm by 8cm - It was presented to a JANE KING in 1884 as a wedding gift from her brohter JOHN. There are also family name references in the relevant pages including those of JANE KING and JOHN KING who died in 1889 and 1890 respectively and other family names including MOORE, CARTER, DRAPER, THACKER and ELSON. Ornately bound embossed leather and brass Family Bible - A Victorian family bible registering births deaths and marriages for the TEMPLEMAN family from 1837 to 1883. JOSEPH TEMPLEMAN married PRISCILLA PEARCE in 1858, 10 children's births recorded from 1859 to 1882 2 deaths 1865 & 1883. 1840's Leatherbound Family Bible - The family of JOHN HARVEY born 1813 and MARGARET GIBSON born 1810. 11 children listed 1833 - 1855. Set of 2 large Leather Spined Family Bibles c. mid 1800's - Births 1836 - 1910 , Deaths 1912 - 1984. In the name of APPS and later COOPER. Hand Sized Cased Bible 1823 - inscription in the front- MARGARET HANNAH ANDERSON 1861 and a notation in the back - SUSAN ?CALLEY born June ? 1795. Leather Family Bible 1876 - BETWEEN THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS THERE ARE 16 RULED PAGES OF WHICH SEVEN CONTAIN A FAMILY HISTORY OF THE ORIGINAL OWNERS , THE REMAINING NINE PAGES REMAIN UNUSED. THIS BEGINS WITH THE MARRIAGE AT ST OLAVES CHURCH YORK IN 1877 BETWEEN THE FIRST OWNERS OF THE BIBLE JOHN EDMUND JONES, BORN AT MELBOURNE IN THE COLONY OF AUSTRALIA IN 1847, AND FANNY RICHARDSON , BORN AT APPLEBY IN LINCOLNSHIRE IN 1850. IT DETAILS THE BIRTHS OF THERE SEVEN CHILDREN AND THERE MARIAGES AND DEATHS, INCLUDING PERCY WHO SERVED AS A CAPTAIN IN THE MIDDLESEX REGIMENT AND DIED IN ACTION AT LOOS IN 1915 THERE IS AN INSCRIPTION SHOWING THAT THIS WAS A WEDDING GIFT FROM FANNYS MOTHER ON THE OCCASION OF HER WEDDING. English Polygot Bible c1870s - Includes newspaper clippings dated 1875 & 1876 tucked inside. What also makes this bible interesting is the RANKIN Family Tree detailed inside. There are various births, deaths and marriages written inside on the 'Family Register', a small genealogical chart dating back to the 17th Century, a coat of arms on the inside front cover, a number of newspaper clippings and a couple of other keepsakes. Antique Family Bible, Printed 1810 - Inside cover...JOHN and ElLIZABETH LAMB, TRESWELL NOTTINGHAMSHIRE. JOHN LAMB and ELIZABETH GARDNER were married in 1810 at WEST MARKHAM.
