Just a little tip that often works for me. I go to forward the email to someone else then click on the attachment from that email and it often opens and I can read it. Of course I do not send that email to anyone. Does not always work but worth a try. Regards Irene |

a .gft files is created by GSP family tree and/or NEOPAINT FONT. You'll need one of these programs in order to view the file. In the case that the e-mail you received has multiple attachments, meaning more than one file - and your PC does not have a program to UNZIP the e-mail, you may need to install a program like WINZIP - which has a 'pay for' program or an 'evaluation' version.....an although the evaluation program states you need to purchase the program in 30 days - the evaluation version works indefinately. I would think the person who sent you the file should be able to convert, on their end, the information into a .ged format which you would then be able to open with any family tree program. Judy |

Hi Judy, Thanks for the info, the neopaint one was what I found after doing a search last night, I thought I might have to ask for them to re send, I did ask for it in PAF? format but this was how it arrived, not complaining because it was very nice of them to send it to me anyway. Debs x |
