help on using bmd index cant find anything

I may sound really thick but i can not get any where looking up 2 births and one marriage. Could any one explain how it works and how i find these people because it is driving me mad . the years it is coming up with are miles out and know where near the date i need. Is it actuarlly finished the bmd or is it still being done If any one can help me and get in contact and help me find these people . it would be fabulous . I will email there names ect to any one who could help me.PLEASE |

Hi Michelle Know how you feel! I've spent all afternoon on Ancestry and Free BMD getting nowhere! All the marriages I'm interested in seem either not to be there or only come up with one partner. GRRRRR Very occasionally I find something which restores my faith in it all.... Don't give up! Allie |

Kathleen A V Gill mothers maiden name = Glover District = Bridgend ref = 11a 1649 From home page of ancestry click on England & Wales, BMD Index (Beta) under more collections then click on Search the Birth index images put in details then click view image Hope this works for you |

Ill never give up, with regards to penny how do i veiw this ref in bmd or do you need mothers maiden name sorry all i know is that her mums name was mabel dont know her maiden name though !!!! i not much use really am i !!!!!!!!! and thanks for your replies im trying 1837 at mo to no avail hehe |

Which site are you looking on ? It wont be on Free BMD it only goes up to 1910 ish If you are looking on Ancestry go to this page. i think you are on the wrong page if you are finding lots of different years. http://www.ancestry(.)co.uk/search/db.aspx?dbid=8965 remove bractets. Kat |
