Hi this year i may be going to suffolk but i am a bit unsure which records office i will have to go to. In particular i am going to be researching my family who came from Woodbridge and a few from Hacheston. I have searched on google but ther seems to be three in suffolk and i am unsure of which one i should go to. Thanks also i am a bit confused is Ipswich in Suffolk? Thanks Stephanie. |

Hi, I go to Suffolk Record Office a lot. I would say that Ipswich is closest to the Woodbridge area. I have been to the Bury St Edmunds records office too but I prefer Ipswich. Cheers, Horatia |

Hi Steph I have rellies from Ipswich area including Framlingham and Woodbridge and I use the Ipswich RO. They are very friendly and helpful but do book a Fiche machine before you go. It's easy to find off the A14 too. Kat |

Hi, Hacheston is the Ipswich side of Woodbride, if you head to Framlingham you'll miss it! You turn left at ' Wyevales' off the A12 at Woodbridge, be prepared not to blink----- it's a small place! |
