Helen Day!! That might just be the jackpot! I'm going to try the IGI again for her in 1881. My dob for her was a guess based on her being a couple of years younger than her husband - looks like she may have been a couple of years older!

I know her as Annie Elizabeth Olive from the 1901 census. I have a probable marriage for her to John Thomas Olive in 1894 (Bedale, Sept 9d 979) I am about to send off for the certificate but hoped to find something census wise here first. It might help me find her on the 1881 but also may provide a father's name as a checking point. Andy

I can't find this relly of mine on the 1881 census either!! But the 1871 would be a good start! Annie Elizabeth Leech, born abt 1865 in Northallerton. I have tried 1837online and couldn't find her birth (though there was one in Manchester - perhaps I'll risk getting the certificate). I know nothing else about her, so would finding her on the census be difficult? Andy
