Viewing my tree?

When viewing my tree using the 'My Ancestors' button on the left, I only get the first few generations showing up, it misses out the oldest ancesters that I have on my chart. Is this normal, or is mine just being silly? Whilst I'm interested generally in all the various siblings and their branches, I like to be able to see how my immediate ancestry is coming along and its a bit annoying to have it cut out at the great grandparents! Any ideas or general tips for viewing the information I'm gathering?

It appears to only show the four preceding generations.
