I think this person is the son of my gggrandfather. He is Edward Andrews born about 1848, i have found him on the 1851 and 1861 census in Huddersfield, but would like to know if this is him on the 1881census as a convict in 'Her Majesty's Prison' in portland dorset. Helen |

On the 1881 it shows he born in 1853 and not 1848. Where was he in 1871? Rose |

Is this the right birth record? Name: ANDREWS, Edward Batty Record Type: Births Quarter: March Year: 1848 District: Huddersfield County: West Riding of Yorkshire West Yorkshire Volume: 22 Page: 360 I couldn't find him on the 1871 either. He's not with his parents. Nor do I see him on the 1891 and 1901. Rose |

If he could just be found on the 1871 then you could make an occupation comparison, since the one in question on the 1881 is a tailor. Rose |
