Help finding marriage

If you have no idea when the marriage took place, you will have to trawl through the GRO indexes either at a large library, record office or LDS Family history centre, where the search won't cost you anything, or buy credits for 1837online, but this could be quite expensive if you have to look through lots of years. Hi I am trying to find marriage of my aunt - Julia Potts born jan 1920 in Gateshead. Mother is Annie Hodgson Irving (born 1883) and father is John Thomas Potts (born 1877). I know she definately married and had two chidren. Possibly divorced and married again, Is there any way of tracing her marriage? Thanks Christina
