Hi All, I have just registered with tribal pages and have uploaded my gedcom, a message appeared on sceen reading-gedcom recieved and I will recieve email within next 24 hours telling me my site is ready until then I have been logged out. Does it really take 24hours? I can't wait to start playing around with my tree??? Deb

Hi Deb I've got my tree on there as well. It is generally less than 24 hours, but you still have to wait before you can change anything. I'm on the free option which means you get a few ads on the site, but nothing too intrusive, Hope you enjoy it. Pauline

Hi Debbie I put part of my tree on tribal pages and it was about 24 hours before I recieved confirmation email that it was available to view. However it was worth the wait . Sue

No real tips as such. Jusy enjoy playing with it. I've recently started to add a few pics which was easy to do. When you do that, they come up in the form of a slide show on your home page - very effective. At least being able to upload gedcom makes changes easy to do, although you can edit direct in the site. I find it easier to do all changes in one place - ie my software, and then upload gedcom after. The photos still stay as I've done that very recently. If you want to see mine it's www(.)tribalpages.com/tribes/mumsiep. It's not password protected, but living people are not identified. Pauline

I think they usually load your gedcom up during USA office hours. Kate.
