I believe Stepping Stones also has some 1841 pay to view. |

Yeah but BritishOrigins seem to be deliberately missing out all the counties where my ancestors lived (Middlesex, Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hants in the South and Cheshire, Lancashire, Shropshire, Flint in the North! Look at their coverage map - I'm sure they're doing it on purpose :-( Seriously though - I think that Ancestry will beat them to it by getting the whole of England/Wales online within the next few months. Hope so, anyway - will save me another subscription to BO! |

I think some of 1841 is available but there are still some counties missing. I have had a difficult time getting ANY info. about Northumberland and now I've discovered it's one of the counties not yet available. I know, I know. Who's heard of Northumberland, way up in the North somewhere! It is, however, one of the most beautiful counties in the country but the least visited. If you ever get the chance to visit, you won't be disappointed. And while you're there, you can go to the Registry Offices for me! Unfortunately, it's too far for me to go now as it involves a 7hr. airplane journey. Diane |
