Just read a small article in my newspaper stating that from 1st January 2006 Form E111 is being replaced by a European Health Insurance Card. (Valid for 3 to 5 years). As I go on holiday to Spain on 20th January 2006 I was pleased to note I could apply on line for my card to be received within 7 days. Realise this is not strictly genealogy, but it is a useful tip!, as I would bet that many UK residents will not be aware of this change. Website address is www.dh.gov.uk/travellers |

When I tried to do mine online couldn`t so phoned for it and it came within 2 days. Some people say they are not worth having but I think they are. Rosalyn |
