Hi, I have just found a possible relative who's place of birth is down as 'Bellamy B Sub, East Indies' (Could also be Bellany ??) How would I find details of his birth and where is it? I presume B Sub means British subject?, which would mean his parents were British? Thanks, Dea |

Hi dea, sorry for taking so long (computer dragging like mad)I searched 1837 for you but could only find this one, Army returns births 1796-1880 JOHN WILSON place BELLARY year 1833 page 193. This was the only Wilson registered in this place although the R could be a N...Hope you find him, and if you get a bit more info PM me...MOEx Also i think the John Bellany that Alter is refering to wasn't born until 1940s(the artist) so can't fit in, there is a bellamy cay in the west indies, worth a look....MOE |
