I believe during the Great War the casualties were so high that soldiers were often moved from one regiment to another to make up numbers. The image you buy will show several cards including the one you are interested in, on a A4 sheet. They will have name, regiment and number plus various codes to indicate what medals were awarded and when. Some have details such as when the soldier entered to war, but others have very sparse details. |
