I was on Ancestry.com (i think!) a short time ago and also on that site you can also do a 'living person finder' seach- i think it just covers usa i'm not sure - i did go on it from the UK site and found a record i wanted on what i think is their electoral role - you then highlight the record/s you want and it gives you the billing option - i think it was something like £11.95 and you get the actual record with address and phone number on. Unfortunately it won't let me do it - whatever credit card i put in i get a message saying the billing address (mine) doesn't match the credit card on file -i don't know why this is i've used my 2 credit cards to buy from the usa before and on line and have never had any problem. I've tried their technical support but the uk number says they have nothing to do with the u.s. site and the u.s. site have passed me from technical help to accounts help and still no joy. i wondered if anyone else had had this problem or if anyone has managed to buy from them and if so would they be willing to order it for me and i will pay. thanks in advance suzie |

Before you spend the money, have you tried the free site b4u? If you know the persons name and area they are living in this will bring up those on the electroral role or in the telephone directory. Oops, are you saying the person is in the USA? Try a clear message on the records board or tips board - 'searching for living person USA' in case anyone can help. |
