Linda, I found Hannah on the 1851 census married to William. They also had a son called James so I would bet that was your James' father. Susan

Susan They have Benjamin 1829 William 1792 1797 1833 James 1756 1794 Looks as if it could be a link but I mustn't get too exited, Blake is quite a common name, but is a very small village. thank you Linda

You can bet your life they are rellies. I asked for a look up ages ago and someone gave me my family plus a few more members who may have been related. It was a common name, but a small village. I kept the names and sure enough, when the 1851 Census came out they were all siblings in the same family. Susan

Susan Yes I'm sure they must be, Its a pity James wasn' t with his parent on 1871. On 1881 ,1891 he was a lodger with another family so i will have to get birth cert to be sure. The other person has added 17 Blakes today so they must link up with mine. This is the 1 grandparent I havn't done much research on....typical. Thank you so much for all your help. Linda
