Yes nicola ,i have a couple of poor relief application from Scotland and the info on them is brilliant you can nearly trace a full generation from the details . Just a pity England records aren't as good . Cath |

I HAVE RECENTLY OBTAINED COPIES OF APPLICATIONS MADE BY MY ANCESTORS TO THE PARISH FOR RELIEF AND THE INFORMATION I HAVE OBTAINED IS AMAZING AND RECORDS QUITE A LOT OF DETAIL. THIS IS OBTAINABLE BY CONTACTING ARCHIVE RECORDS AT YOUR LIBRARY. ( IN MY CASE, MITCHELL LIBRARY IN GLASGOW) |
