For anyone searching for relatives in New South Wales, Australia this is a must visit site. It has both parents names in the birth and death index which makes it easier to be accurate in adding the correct people to your tree. Births 1788 - 1905, Deaths 1788 - 1974, Marriages 1788 - 1954. Excellent search engine with use of wildcard * available. Go to :- http://www.bdm.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/Index/IndexingOrder.cgi/search?SessionID=1596210&event=births Happy hunting Keith I have returned to my tip to apologies. There is additional information in the 'WWW Australian Web' message on this page. I recommend. Keith

Yes, it is fantastic. If only the rest of Australia was the same! It is actually much better than FreeBMD is in England and Wales because it is complete as far as civil registration goes up to the end-dates given, and also includes events from before the start of civil registration (just marriages, I think). Also it gives you the names of both parents where available on the deaths index. I think it's great! Kate.
