Found where my husbands g/grandparents were buried that is both sets of g/grandparents, went to look in the churchyard and all but six stones remain the rest of the churchyard was empty but you could see that graves were there, all the stones had been put into like blocks and a kerb had been made around the path with them. It was a upsetting to think the last one was buried the year my husband was born 1931. Margaret

how sad for you Margaret. I guess it was to make mowing the place easier. Perhaps they made a list of the stones before they moved them? could be worth asking. netti
