Hi, I am looking for the birth of my 5xgreat grandmother, Sarah Thrussell, who according to census records was born in Pirton, Hertfordshire c1809. Christening records on familysearch don't date that far back. Where could I look for her birth? Lucia :-)

You could try an email to the Hertfordshire County records office - as you have a parish and an approximate year you may find they will do a limited search of the registers for you and a photocopy of the entry if they find it for a reasonable charge. Or how about checking the family history society for Hertfordshire - they may have register transcripts or a look up service of some sort.

Whether or not you find the records, there's a good page here, with a few links: http://www.hertfordshire-genealogy.*co.uk/data/places/pirton.htm (remove *) Christine

That site had a link which led to: http://www.pirton.org.uk/historyinterest/history_new.htm Which includes a couple of contacts for people researching THRUSSELL/TRUSSELL Christine
