The TNA at Kew hold all these army records . www(.)thenationalarchives(.)gov(.)uk You will need to know a regiment to be able to search and these older records usually have to be searched in person at TNA janet |

There's a strong rumour in our family that one of my ancestors fought in the Peninsular War in Spain and came back with a Spanish Bride. Are there any military records I could look up for this conflict? I was scoffing at this story at first, but have just realised there are a lot of Isabellas in this line and a Leon (both Spanish names). Any advice would be gratefully received. |
