Does anybody no anything about copy and paste? It is my g, g, uncle and aunties 70 wedding anniversary and I promised them a copy of the family tree ( which is on this site). As I dont have a printer I thought I would be able to put it on to disc and go to a print shop. On the family tree page it says ' copy and paste ' but I dont know how to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME. Jayne |

Hi Jane There are a couple of ways but this is what I use. (sorry if this is too basic) Click your mouse at the start of what you want to copy. Click the left mouse key and drag the mouse to the bottom of the area you want to copy (the area should be highlighted - if you let go of the mouse key at any time you have to start again) On the keyboard press 'ctrl' (keep holding it) press 'c' Then go to microsoft word or wherever you want to past On the keyboard press 'ctrl' (keep holding it) press 'v' You can also use the controls in Edit at the top of the page: Highlight the area you want to copy (as before) Edit (top left of page, next to File) Copy Go to where you want to past to Edit (top left of page, next to File) Paste Hope this helps Elly :) |
