Can someone explain to me how the credit system works. Do I get charged for trying to find a person, e.g. if I'm not sure which area of Fife my greatgran lived and I search the census 5 districts at a time and it returns one match, do I get charged for searching or just looking at the one match? Does that make sense?

Hi Maggie It costs 1 credit to look at 1 page of search results. If you want to look at an image then it is 5 credits per image. Hope this helps Jeanette
