I am looking to find a marriage certificate between two of my ancestors and was wondering which website would be the best to obtain it from, as some of them get a little confusing. any ideas? |

Freebmd is a good bet up to 1910, though it is not complete. After that you'd need to pay, either on 1837online or familyrelatives. nell |

If it was me, I would try FreeBMD for 1901-1910, because it's free......but beware that 1904/05 are not complete. If that didn't get a result I would try Family Relatives for 1912-1920 as during that period the spouse surname is given for each index entry. If that didn't work, I would try either searching the missing bits on FreeBMD via their ''View Images'' section. If that didn't work I would try and fathom the new thingy on Family Relatives which matches brides and grooms before 1912 (haven't tried it yet, it's new) If that didn't work, I'd trawl 1921 on wards on Family Relatives or 1837online.
