Pre 1837 you have to go and look at the parish registers. You can also look on the Family Search site which also has a wealth of information from the registers and other sources. Not always entirely as accurate as checking the original records but worth a try. Put the details up here and I'm sure someone will have a look for you to get you moving. |

Hi all I have a wedding certificate dated 1840 and I need to go back to tracing the father now but I don't know how to go about tracing further back than 1820 - can anyone advise please? Thank you |
