Well done. I have some tricky relatives I keep having a go at - if only they had a name like Cassandra, but no, they are William, George and James! nell |

Having spent a few hours per night several times a week looking for a Cassandra Smith on 1851 using every * ? and possible mistranscription of the name I could think of, I eventually took the plunge and put in Smith living anywhere born Ipswich 1833. A daunting task I thought but it turned up trumps. I found her as Copander living Essex as a housemaid. I can read it as Cassandra but I can understand why the transcriber couldn't. Keep plugging away you'll get there eventually! lol Kat |
